An English garden, sunshine turning golden at dusk, a chorus of birdsong, the rolling green landscape, perhaps even the lawn at home where you played as a child. There is nothing quite the same as an English country wedding in a marquee.
A sense of occasion like nothing else
There can be no doubt that a marquee inspires a sense of occasion. From the first moment you start to see the structure taking shape on your lawn, the party is under way. A country wedding in a marquee is a timeless piece of English heritage, part of a summer tradition stretching back through the novels of Hardy and beyond. Children at your wedding will remember the atmosphere of it, the light and the grassy scent, to the end of their days.
What about the weather?
Needless to say, we are frequently asked: what about the weather? Can we rely on sunshine? Of course, we cannot guarantee anything in the sky. What we do know, however, is that our marquee and your wedding will be safe from rain, storm and wind. I cannot even count the times I have heard this said after a party: 'It rained a bit, but - d'you know? - it didn't make a bit of difference. If anything, it brought everyone closer together.'
Can it get too hot?
The wonderful thing about marquees is that you can take as many walls off as you need, to keep the interior temperature pleasant. There is nothing more idyllic than sitting inside an open-sided wedding marquee on a warm summer's afternoon, with the sunshine and landscape just beyond. Later on, if it begins to cool off, the walls can be sealed off again with ease.
